The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) invites you to a free screening of AMREEKA on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at the ADC Heritage Center in Washington, DC.
AMREEKA will be introduced by Ms. Alicia Sams, the executive producer of Cherien Dabis’ award-winning debut feature film. The film premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, and won the Critics Prize at the Director’s Fortnight of the Cannes Film Festival.
ABOUT THE FILM: A Palestinian single mother, divorcée Mouna (Nisreen Faour), and her son Fadi (Melkar Muallem), resettle in the American Midwest with bittersweet results.
